Producer / Director / Writer / Editor / Director of
Photography
Eliud George Garcia was born in Harlingen, TX
and raised in San Benito, TX. After
graduating from the University of Texas at
Austin’s renowned Radio/TV/Film school in 1991,
George began his career as a Director of
Photography at a couple of production companies
in the Dallas area. |
George has shot
everything from corporate videos to segments for Oprah,
VH1, MTV, the USA Network and others. Later, he tackled the jobs of producer, director,
writer, and editor and fell in love with the creative process.
In 2000, George decided to go out on his own and form EGG
Entertainment, Inc. where he provides production services to
corporate entities, broadcast networks, and independents.
George has always dabbled in
the world of children and family entertainment, writing short
stories and coming up with potential ideas for movies, but it
was in late 2003 when George decided it was time to put up or
shut up. He had a concept for a kids show and he needed to
find the right talent to do it. Along came Selena Gomez, a
rising talent, who, fortunately, attended George’s audition for
his show. Then came Lewis Parry, a new-comer who George
thought would be perfect to play along side Selena. In
2006, after many trials and tribulations, George finally
completed his production. The result was “Brain Zapped”, a
film about a mysterious library, a book-lover and all around
super-girl and her best friend. Brain Zapped is an
Official selection of the 2006 KIDS FIRST! Film and Video
festival. Screening dates to come.

Actor
Dallas native Selena
Gomez spent the day of her 7th Birthday in an
open casting call amongst thousands of other
hopefuls competing for one role in the series
for television “Barney & Friends”. It was
her first audition, yet her demeanor remained
calm and collected. |
Even at such a
young age, she was natural, charismatic, and comfortable
- the producers instantly saw something magical about
Selena. Selena was chosen to lead
seasons 7 & 8 of “Barney & Friends” as a series regular.
Selena developed an
intense passion for acting from her tenure on the
television show, which only fueled her desire for more
onscreen experience. As she continued making fans,
Selena quickly established herself as a strong force in
the commercial world as well, securing national
commercials for such companies as: Wal-Mart, Hasbro and
TGI Friday’s.
With her rapid accomplishments
and increasing exposure in the television and commercial world,
Selena began attracting attention from Hollywood. In 2003,
she accelerated her career into feature films when Robert
Rodriguez cast her in a supporting role opposite Daryl Sabara in
Disney’s “SPY KIDS 3D”.
In the summer of 2004, Disney
began their worldwide search for a new star to lead the title
character in the “Lizzie Maguire” spin-off pilot, “STEVIE
SANCHEZ”. The stakes were high, as Disney knew they were
looking for a successor to Hilary Duff. Three weeks after
Selena’s local audition in Dallas, she advanced and was chosen
to compete with a select few other candidates in Los Angeles.
Amongst the final candidates, Selena was chosen to meet the
Disney Executive board in what would be her final chemistry
test.
Not long after her return home,
Disney knew they had found their girl. In what was said to
be the most competitive role in Disney Channel programming
history, Selena Gomez secured the TITLE STARRING ROLE in
“STEVIE SANCHEZ”.
In addition to her acting
achievements, Selena has recently begun to explore opportunities
in music. Her singing ability has already drawn the
attention of several major record labels.
While Selena competes for other
major roles in feature films, she is attached to star in the
movie for television “The Untitled Selena Gomez Project”,
currently in development.
Selena is represented by Creative Artists Agency and Jamie Freed
of Nine Yards Entertainment.
Actor
Lewis Parry is represented by
the Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas, Texas.
Lewis has appeared in
independent films and in 2003 landed the role of “Kingston” in
the pilot program, “Brain Zapped”. When Lewis is not in
front of the camera, he is behind it, writing, directing and
editing his own films. |
